From Dartington lead crystal glass the inspiration
came
viewing the frog spawn which clung to the side of a
local fish pond. The delicate and
transparent nature of the fragile eggs echoes the
same nature found in glass, as glass can
appear fluid but be solid, it can appear transparent
but yet be translucent, and placed in a
certain light it can look totally opaque.
 Hand engraving texture between the
underside of the piece and sandblasting to give that
opaque effect on the underside and
finished off finally with several stages of hand
polishing to the upper part of the piece to
expose the texture created underneath.
