The Victorian ballroom splendour of the dressage is
offset by the willingness to dance or fight off a
possible rival or even shock. The tight netting is
evident as schematic square of the supporting
inner frame. This is a skeleton that we are looking
at and perhaps this is very revealing to the meaning
behind Jane's Work. Our very beings are watched by
the viewer and we cannot hide from this whatever
state we appear to be in.
