The crowds hog close to the attractions of lights
and structures of the fair ground, peering unself-
consciously. In the 1970s this
was a scene on edge behind an underworld. Today
the fair ground is condoned by the family to lighten
up the village life.
The figures, like in
lowry's pictures, amble randomly where no set
pattern emerges to the people hanging out in their
free time. The dark colours of the crowd is in stark
contrast to the pastel light of the fair
ground.
