A: Art at The Palm Tree 1 - 3 May 2010

We held our latest Art Exhibition at The Palm Tree Restaurant, Reading Road, Cane End, Oxon RG4 9HE.

Starting on 1 - 3 May 2010. 12am - 3.30pm

The artists attending include A. Arlidge, D. Williams, C. Robson, W. Lee- Wright, E. Waller and J. Crosswell

We are easily accessible and welcome you to a viewing. Glass Sculptures and Painting so far. We hope that you will be suitable stimulated by the process, and working methods openly discussed, with the relevant reviews.

Location:

By Bus: From Reading Central stations take the X40 or X39 from bus stand SE

By Car: From Reading Town Centre follow signs for the A329 to Caversham. After crossing Caversham Bridge follow signs for the A4074. Stay on the A4074 until you reach Palm Tree which is located on the right hand side. If you need directions from anywhere else you can use the RAC Route Planner.

We held a Professional Exhibition as a first at the Palm Tree. The choice of time, the 
Bank Holiday gave people the opportunity to browse, and indeed have a buffet. What 
was noticed was the present amount of Events to choose from on this weekend. The 
amount of conflicting advertising for Crafts, Art Events locally, let alone in the surrounding
counties, let us to believe we were proud to have the viewers that we gained.

Anne Arlidge, one of the Exhbitors of glass Works,  wrote a letter of the exhibition; 05/05/10

'planning was excellent, tools etc..' but there was 'limited time'
'The smart labelling are not necessary for as long as the work is clearly marked.'
'so a way forward would be to strip down to essentials and do not try to do it all yourself'
hey ho, Artists this means you are all to get involved a little more for future exhibitions.
