I produced this work following a trip to Anjuna
Beach Market, Goa. At night the place is awash with
patchwork lanterns that cast an exotic glow.
The night air is balmy and filled with the fragrance of
Jasmine and spice. Young girls beckon, fortune
tellers, healers and musicians entice and
enchant....you come under their spell and part with
your virtue or your money.
If you have been to a
night market in Asia you will understand the mood
this painting it attempting to capture.
