This was inspired by the Rembrandt nocture
working
in dim light of the studio. Colour is defused by
chiascuro and relative blindness in the edgy and
blind
worthy light.
The image can be
interrupted as
clouds
or even a man reaching out for a baby as some
have
pointed out.
The richness of yellow
ocre and
burnt
sienna and black add an extra dimension to the
painting.
