Since graduating at Hertfordshire College of Art and Design, John Perkin has had many one man shows
 in Berkshire, the surrounding counties and London.


The subject matter of his paintings covers a wide range of human activity and landscape. The style
 is basically figurative, but where appropriate, abstraction is employed to suggest movement or mood.  
Also the unity of the subject may be enhanced by an indication of objects in the background through 
those in the foreground which would normally obscure them.
