First Bridge over the Yangzi:

In Wuhan province, one of the four furnaces of China and home to the fantastic spicy duck neck, the first bridge built over the Yangzi river straddles one of China's most important resources.

A ten second exposure late at night gives the smooth feel of the water and the near-perfect reflection.

The dimensional shadow of development is a marvel of antic and perspective.
The night scene is industrial and acclimatising to the photograph makes us 
feel the actual road is below the bridge. Look again and the enchantment is 
all J. Shocks.

If there is a metaphor chiming it is the turning of an old 78" in a turntable, the bridge
lining up to play the music of the old china, except of course our reality is stronger
than a metaphor. it is the New China of old.
