Chengdu Reflections

Chengdu Reflections

Chengdu reflections: As I sat and watched an acrobatics performance in the streets of Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, I noted a lone figure staring back at me as the rest of the crowd watched the amazing spectacle before them. This elderly man seemed simply to be curious about the strange foreigner sitting in his hometown. As I brought the camera up, he continued to stare and didn't budge as I took a few snaps. His stare is one of my personal favourite images from my travels in China - a look of unembarrassed curiosity.

A lone wanderer is sitting in a crowd in front of a performance, a natural man looks back in anticipation,
he has sensed something. It is a nervy thought but why is he concerned with what is behind him when the
action is in front. Maybe photographers have a sense of magnetism.
