As this is a wreck, driven ashore by waves, a storm possibly, the skeleton of a boat, the skeleton 
of a rocky outcrop. As always the topical nature of Thacker leaves us pleased with the subject 
matter. The co-ordination of colour satuarated filling in spaces of sand, reflection of water and boat. 
The intricacies of the rocky outcrop. The artist is choosing our setting, giving the images of portent.
The content is not easy to invent, and it is in this that we love his work. The style has a unity in 
composition, in painterly integrity and a thoroughfare of scenes enlightening us of his world.
