In an old Russian folk tale, the Fire bird attempts to
steal a golden apple from the Tsars magic tree.
Ivan captures her and is promised one of her fiery
feathers if he lets her go.
As with Stravinsky's powerful Ballet of the same
name,
so here the strong rhythms of the trees and intense
colour of the sky, evoke the magical world of fairy
tales
and Childhood.

There is no uncomfortable sitting, all explaination at the ready for engagement.
